I offer one-to-one consultations online via Zoom, by telephone, or face-to-face from a Surrey clinic: Brighter Spaces, Guildford. I am also happy to travel to addresses within GU22, GU23, KT14 and KT15 postcodes for a small fee. Note that at the present time, only online or phone appointments are available.
Prior to your first appointment, you will need to complete a health questionnaire and a three-day food diary, which should be returned at least 48h in advance of your appointment.
It is important to include details of any prescription or over-the-counter medication you are taking, to ensure that any nutritional recommendations are safe.
Initial consultation 90 mins
At the initial consultation, I mainly want to hear from you, starting with your health goals.
We will then talk through your health history from the beginning, as well as your lifestyle habits, such as sleep, exercise, relaxation and stress. Finally I’d like to know how and what you eat (and don’t eat).
This will help me understand which systems in your body may be under pressure, and which environmental factors could be contributing to your symptoms.
Getting to know your likes and dislikes also helps me to make some initial suggestions for diet and lifestyle modifications that you feel are achievable and that fit with your life.
We will also discuss if there are areas where we could benefit from knowing a little bit more – perhaps through functional tests, or via tests available from your GP. As part of the process I may recommend nutritional supplements if I think you would benefit. Neither these, nor the tests are covered by the consultation fee.
Follow up consultation 60 mins
At the follow up consultations, we will focus on what foods or behaviours could support your body.
We will start by discussing how you have been getting on, and talk through any test results.
Together, we will then devise a personalised health and wellness plan, with practical steps that work for you. This plan is a work in progress, and will be altered and added to over the weeks and months, as we support different areas.
Depending on your health situation and goals, I recommend at least one follow-up consultation after one to two weeks. However, I find my clients benefit most from ongoing support over at least a twelve-week period.
Coaching call 20 mins
Telephone calls to help you stay on track, or answer any questions that can't wait until your next appointment can be arranged as required. Unless you are signed up to a package, responding to lengthy emails will also be charged as a coaching call.
Nutritional therapy is not a quick fix. It has often taken years for you to get to where you are now. It can take time to get comfortable with new ways of living and eating, even when we know the benefits that these could bring – and it is easy to slip back into old habits.
Twelve-week packages consisting of an initial consultation with a series of follow up consultations and email support are available to help you commit to making the changes your body deserves.
